My Favorites

Here's a list of some of my favorites from LA Fashion Week.

1.  Beach Bunny Swimwear suit and coverup:  Who doesn't love a sexy swimsuit that you can cover with a pretty coverup if you need to go from the beach to clubhouse?

2.  Crispin & Basilio skirt and tank:  It's clean and fresh, yet the paper bag waist and satin look make it classy.  Professional if need be, fun and flirty if need be.

3.  Crispin & Basilio orange dress:  Easy going and versatile.  The color pops and is balanced by the oversized beige vest.

4.  Ed Hardy ensemble:  OK.  I just had to include this cult-classic in the roundup, because where would LA fashion be without Ed Hardy?

5.  Elmer Ave. coat:  Even though it's being modeled by a guy, I'd definitely wear it.  Too bad I live in Southern California where cold is mid-50s.  Definitely not coat weather.

6.  Elmer Ave. vest:  This to me is the epitome of menswear for women.  Of course, I'd never go to work dressed like the model is, but with the right slacks and top, it's definitely a fashion do.

7.  Julia Clancey dress:  I absolutely love quirky designer Julia Clancey.  And this scale-y, layered dress is perfect for shopping at the grove or dressing it up to head to a party.

8.  Kevan Hall pencil skirt and top:  I love clean and classic, and with this outfit, Kevan Hall hits it dead on.  Classic black and white (leaves you open to accessorize as you want) and tight silhouette... sounds good to me.

9.  Julia Clancey dress:  This Greecian dress is absolutely adorable, and this shade of blue is going to be the new pastel pink for spring.

10.  Lana Fuchs dress:  The queen of imported Russian couture.  Even though Fuchs has been in the US for years, she still knows how to bring Russian flair to American couture.  From Russia with love...

11.  Rojas dress:  Even though the style is reminiscent of my high school prom, the purple with the teal accents is to die for.

12.  Li Cari ensemble:  After Li Cari's Spring 2009 collection, this up-and-coming designer is now my new favorite designer to watch.  Keep an eye out for more from her.

13.  Anzevino & Florence dress:  Even though I thought jewel tones were exclusively for fall, I won't complain that they're showing up in spring collections.
